New Gallery moves to a new location and
changed its name to CAS Gallery!

In July of 2002 the University of Miami’s Department of Art and Art History’s Art building was condemned. Most of the offices and classrooms were relocated to the Rainbow Building, but there was insufficient space to also house the New Gallery.  The College of Arts and Sciences came to the rescue by leasing Kresge Hall at the Wesley Foundation to be used at a gallery and conference center. Thus, the name change to CAS Gallery (College of Arts and Sciences Gallery). The new gallery space enjoys 2200 square feet of exhibition floor space, 164 running feet of usable wall space and 16-foot ceilings. The main gallery space renovations were completed in August of 2003. And the current bathroom renovation will be completed by April 2004.
