THREE OPTIONS IN AQUIRING a B.A.
1. BACHELOR OF ARTS - STUDIO ART
A liberal arts degree includes an overall education in English, math, natural sciences, humanities, social sciences and languages plus five foundation courses in art, three courses in art history, and four studio courses. The option to take a variety of electives in the college of Arts & Sciences is also available. An academic co-major is possible with this degree.

Arts and Sciences Requirements: Students working toward an B.A. in Art or Art History may use Art courses to satisfy the fine arts requirement. See requirements under COLLEGE OF ARTS AND SCIENCES.
Outside Minor: A minor must be taken outside the Department of Art and Art History. Minor requirements are specified by each department.
Electives: Courses may be taken in any department including Art and Art History. Two electives must be taken at the 300 level or higher. The number of electives taken should be sufficient for a total of 120 credits for graduation.
Writing Requirement: 15 credits following English 105 and 106. Art History courses prefixed with a "W" can be used to meet Arts and Sciences writing requirements.

B.A. MAJOR / MINOR COMBINATION

Studio Major With Art History Minor
(in addition to required minor outside the department)
An art history minor consists of 15 credits in art history
with a grade of "C-" or higher with overall G.PA.of 2.0.
Courses: ARH 131 or 133, 132, plus three courses from 200 level or higher.
Total: 15 credits
