FLORIDA PRINTMAKERS is a non-profit organization first incorporated by David Hunter in Orlando in 1986; his purpose was to better educate the public on handmade prints. Since then, Barry Wilson (Jacksonville), Bradlee Shanks (Tampa), and Marcia Stewart (Fort Myers) have served; the current president is Lise Drost and the organization is housed in the Art Department at the University of Miami in Coral Gables. The goal of the present Florida Printmakers Board is to promote the art of printmaking in the state of Florida through exhibitions of the membership, and we aim to attract members from around the world. | ||||||||||
