PAINTING FACILITIES

The Art Annex houses a large multipurpose studio (below) along with four graduate studios and assigned space for up to seven undergraduate BFA painting majors, faculty offices, and the woodshop. The "annex" is situated directly behind the Physics building near the Arboretum.
The large general purpose painting studio is used by both the Painting and Foundation programs. Although the room can accommodate up to 25 students all studio classes in Painting are limited to an enrollment of 15. It is accessible 24 hours a day and is large enough so that students can work on out-of-class assignments while other classes are using the studio. The woodshop is adjacent to the large studio. Down the hall in the same building are graduate (MFA) studios and and individualized work areas for advanced undergraduates.
