ADVANCED OIL PAINTING I&II
ART 401 and ART 402 are closely supervised self-directed painting courses during which the student is expected to work toward a unified body of work that acknowledges the importance of Gestalt perceptual principles, develops out of a rigorous work ethic in the studio, demonstrates facility with one's chosen media, and maintains an interactive conversation with the longstanding traditions of image making, especially those from the history of painting.
